    PROFIL GURU SEKOLAH DASAR DALAM MENGAJAR IPA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TEACHER PROFILE IN TEACHING SCIENCE

    Abtract: The research was conducted to discribe the profile of the elementary school teacher in the teaching science. Single-series type was used as research method, and the subject selection method was purposive sampling. The subjects are teachers from grade III, IV, and V, with total subject are 17 teachers from 6  elementary school in Rajabasa district of Bandar Lampung. Teaching profile data collected through observation and questionnaire. The data were analyzed descriptively and compared with the standard of the education process and the principle of science. The result shows that 83,33% of teachers in the opening lesson still not in accordance with the standard, 72,21% of teachers dominate on core lesson activities, and students only listening and answering teachers questions. Classroom atmosphere is not conducive during the learning process. 61.11% of teachers use teaching tools. Thus it can be concluded that the science learning process in elementary schools in Rajabasa not in accordance with the standards and principles of science.     PROFIL KOMPETENSI LITERASI SAINS SISWA SMP KELAS IX SE-KECAMATAN KOTABUMI

    This study aimed to know the profile science literacy competence of students IX grade from Kotabumi North Lampung Academic Year 2015/2016. Design of this study was simple descriptive used purposive sampling with 329 samples. Qualitative data that were external and internal factors that affecting science literacy competence which analyzed from questionnaires percentage of students and teachers, while quantitative data were the science literacy competence of students which analyzed from the scores of PISA test questions. The results showed students' science literacy competencies were in the category "very low" (18.47 ± 0.69). Female students have science literacy competence superior from male students both in general and in every aspect of competence. science literacy competence was not influenced by internal factors but influenced by several indicators of external factors, wich were learning methods, the intensity of practical implementation, and the intensity of granting Homework.Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui profil kompetensi literasi sains siswa SMP kelas IX se-Kecamatan Kotabumi Kabupaten Lampung Utara pada Tahun Ajaran 2015/2016. Desain penelitian ini ialah deskriptif sederhana menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan sampel 329 siswa. Data kualitatif berupa faktor eksternal dan internal yang mempengaruhi kompetensi literasi sains yang dianalisis dari persentase kuisioner siswa dan guru , sedangkan data kuantitatif ialah kompetensi literasi sains siswa yang dianalisis dari skor uji soal PISA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kompetensi literasi sains siswa berada dalam kategori “sangat rendah” (18,47 ± 0,69). Siswa perempuan memiliki kompetensi literasi sains lebih tinggi dibandingkan siswa laki-laki baik secara umum maupun pada tiap aspek kompetensi.Kompetensi literasi sains tidak dipengaruhi oleh faktor internal namun dipengaruhi oleh beberapa indikator faktor eksternal, yakni metode pembelajaran, intensitas pelaksanaan praktikum, dan intensitas pemberian Pekerjaan Rumah. Kata kunci: gender, literasi sains, pembelajaran IP

    The Use of Problem Based Instruction Model to Motivated the Independent Biological Learning Toward the Student of SMP 16 Bandar Lampung in Academic Year of 2004/2005

    This is a colaborative action research which carried out toward student of SMP Negeri 16 Bandar Lampung. The aim of this research was enhancing the self learning motivation by using Problem Based Instruction (PBI) model. The research conducted in 2 cycles, using the criteria of teacher 's performance and student 's ability toward biological learning The data awas then analized and intepreted to show the improving teacher performance for each cycle.The result showed that the teacher was a good fascilitator (score 2,98 in cycle I and 2,93 in cycle), so it 's able to enhace the self learning motivation of a student, indicated with the increasing point of the readiness of study, the higly motivated in answer and question interaction, ability in answering the questions, giving opinion, creative, and highly initiative to study. That self learning motivation then gives rise to the average class mark even its equitability thus showed the better teaching and learning proccesses

    PROFIL KOMPETENSI LITERASI SAINS SISWA KELAS IX SE-KECAMATAN SEPUTIH RAMAN LAMPUNG TENGAH

    The aim of this research was to describe the profile of students’ scientific literacy competence in sub-districts of Seputih Raman. The research design was simple descriptive with purposive sampling with 281 students samples. The quantitative data were scientific literacy competence and qualitative data were internal and external factors. The results showed that scientific literacy competence has reached score 32.55 (very low). The competence in public schools were higher than private schools that was that was 36, 69 and 28.61 and it’s different significantly. Meanwhile, based on the gender, female had higher competence (37.16) than male (33.76) but it was not different significantly. Thus, it could be concluded that the literacy skills was very low. It was affected by several factors, such as low interest, father’s last education, parental guidance and learning process.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menggambaran profil kompetensi literasi sains siswa kelas IX SMP se-Kecamatan Seputih Raman. Desain penelitian adalah deskriptif sederhana dengan teknik sampling purposive sampling sebanyak 281 siswa. Data kuantitatif berupa kompetensi literasi sains dan kualitatif berupa faktor internal dan eksternal yang dianalisis dengan rumus persentase dan uji kesamaan dua rata-rata. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa literasi se-kecamatan mencapai skor 32,55 (sangat rendah). Kompetensi siswa di sekolah negeri lebih tinggi (39,69) dan berbeda signifikan daripada sekolah swasta (28,61). Kompetensi siswa perempuan lebih tinggi (37,16) tetapi tidak berbeda signifikan dengan laki-laki (33,76). Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa literasi sains siswa kelas IX berkriteria sangat rendah dengan faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi adalah minat, pendidikan terakhir ayah, bimbingan orang tua serta pembelajaran yang tidak sesuai hakikat IPA.Kata kunci: gender, literasi sains, status sekola

    KOMPETENSI LITERASI SAINS SISWA SE-KECAMATAN KEDATON PADA KONTEN BIOLOGI

    The purpose of this research was to find out the competence of scientific lieracy of student. The research design was using simple descriptive design, by using purposive sampling technique, as many as 197 students. The quantitative data were scientific literacy competence that was obtained from PISA test and the qualitative data were factors influenced that were obtained from questionnaire.  The result of the research shows that the students’ had very low category with the score 19,6 ± 3,0. The score of female students was 26,0 1,79 significantly different with male student that was 21,2  1,18 and showed the difference but it very not significant. The factors that influence students’ were parents’ education background, home work of students, the learning process including the length of studying science at school, participation in attending lesson and teacher who teaches the course. Thus, scientific literacy competence was “very poor” criteria and there were factors that affected that. Then significantly differences between male and female students competence. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui profil kompetensi literasi sains siswa. Desain penelitian yaitu studi deskriptif, dengan teknik  purposive sampling berjumlah 197 siswa. Data kuantitatif berupa skor kompetensi literasi sains dengan soal  PISA dan data kualitatif berupa faktor yang mempengaruhi dengan menggunakan kuisioner. Dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian kompetensi  literasi sains siswa kriteria “sangat rendah” (19,6 ± 3,0). Aspek yang tertinggi yaitu “menggunakan bukti ilmiah”. Kompetensi literasi sains siswa perempuan (26,0 1,79) berbeda tidak signifikan dengan siswa laki-laki (21,2  1,18). Faktor yang berpengaruh yaitu latar belakang pendidikan orang tua; pemberian PR; proses pembelajaran meliputi lama belajar sains di sekolah, keikutsertaan les dan guru yang mengajar les. Dengan demikian, disimpulkan bahwa kompetensi literasi sains tergolong “sangat rendah” dan terdapat faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya.     The purpose of this research was  to know the competence of scientific literacy of class IX students. This research design was descriptive which used purposive sampling technique with 34 students. The result were quantitative data that were obtained from the score of PISA 2006 test and analyzed by calculating the average score. The qualitative data were obtained from internal dan exsternal factors that were analyzed by calculating the percentage score. The data analysis showed that students competence of scientific literacy were “very low” with mean score 33,60. The students of public school had higher competence of  scientific literacy than students in private school and  female students competence of scientific literacy was higher than  male students. Internal factor that influenced was students interest to continue their study. External factors that influenced were learning process in the class, science learning facilities, education background of parents, parents guidance at home, and teacher professionalism. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kompetensi literasi sains siswa kelas IX SMP se- Kecamatan Pagelaran. Desain penelitian ini ialah deskriptif menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan sampel 341 siswa kelas IX. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari skor uji tes soal PISA 2006 dan dianalisis dengan melakukan perhitungan rerata skor. Data kualitatif berupa faktor internal dan eksternal yang dianalisis dengan menghitung persentase skor.  Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi literasi sains siswa termasuk dalam kriteria “sangat rendah” dengan skor rerata 33,60. Siswa sekolah  negeri memiliki kompetensi literasi lebih tinggi dibandingkan siswa sekolah swasta dan siswa perempuan memiliki kompetensi literasi lebih tinggi dibandingkan siswa laki-laki. Faktor internal yang berpengaruh adalah  minat siswa untuk melanjutkan sekolah. Faktor eksternal yang mempengaruhi adalah  proses pembelajaran guru dikelas, fasilitas pembelajaran IPA, latar belakang pendidikan orang tua, bimbingan orang tua dirumah, dan  profesionalisme guru.  Kata kunci : gender, literasi sains, status sekola

    Analisis Efektivitas Pembelajaran Daring terhadap Hasil Belajar Kognitif Peserta Didik

    The objective of this research is to analyze the effectiveness of online learning on the cognitive learning outcomes of students. The population used in this study were all students in class XI MIPA 3 to XI MIPA 7 SMA Negeri 14 Bandar Lampung in the academic year 2020/2021, which consist of 143 people using purposive sampling technique. This research design is a descriptive design by a survey approach. Data were analyzed descriptively referring to the Minimum Criteria of Mastery Learning with classical completeness requirements of 60% and counting the number of respondents’ answers from each statement on the questionnaire.Based on the research results show that the cognitive learning outcomes of students achieve completeness of 60.4% classically and most of the learning outcomes of students are in the excellent category, which is 43.35%, so it can be concluded that online based learning is effective on the cognitive learning outcomes of students.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas pembelajaran daring terhadap hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik. Populasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas XI MIPA 3 sampai XI MIPA 7 SMA Negeri 14 Bandar Lampung tahun pelajaran 2020/2021 yang berjumlah 143 orang menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Desain penelitian ini merupakan desain deskritif dengan pendekatan survei. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif dengan menghitung persentase ketuntasan hasil belajar yang mengacu pada KKM dengan syarat ketuntasan secara klasikal sebesar 60% dan menghitung jumlah jawaban responden dari setiap pernyataan pada angket. Bersarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik mencapai ketuntasan secara klasikal sebesar 60,4% dan sebagian besar hasil belajar peserta didik termasuk dalam kategori baik sekali, yaitu sebesar 43,35%, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran daring efektif terhadap hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik. Kata kunci: efektivitas, hasil belajar kognitif, pembelajaran daring DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jbt.v9i1.2229

    Teachers’ Perception toward Electronic Student Worksheet Based on chiken manure Waste Treatment Projects to Improve Students' Creative Thinking Skills

    The objective of this research was to investigate the Science teachers' perception toward e-worksheet based on chiken manure waste treatment projects to improve students' creative thinking skills. The method used in this research is mixed methods with Sequential Explanatory Design. The data was collected through questionnaire, then analyzed by using descriptive analysis. The questionnaires were distributed to 14 Science teacher respondents and 127 junior high school students in North Metro District. The result shows that teacher have a positive perception toward usage of the electronic students' worksheets based on chiken manure waste treatment projects. The results showed that 79% of teachers had not used project-based e-worksheets; based on students' response questionnaires, 37% of teachers have given project assignments, but the projects were not based on real problems in the environment. Environmental problems that occur in North Metro District is the amount of chicken manure waste issue that causes pollution to the environment around society’s houses. The current worksheets has not completely train students' creative thinking skills and that's skills was in low category. Based on the result It can be concluded that a e-worksheet based on chiken manure waste treatment projects is needed to improve students' creative thinking skillsTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui persepsi guru IPA terhadap e-worksheet berbasis proyek pengolahan limbah kotoran ayam untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode campuran dengan Sequential Explanatory Design. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner, kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Kuesioner dibagikan kepada 14 responden guru IPA dan 127 siswa SMP di Kabupaten Metro Utara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru memiliki persepsi positif terhadap penggunaan lembar kerja siswa elektronik berdasarkan proyek pengolahan limbah kotoran ayam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 79% guru belum menggunakan lembar kerja elektronik berbasis proyek; berdasarkan angket respon siswa, 37% guru telah memberikan tugas proyek, tetapi proyek tersebut tidak berdasarkan masalah nyata di lingkungan. Permasalahan lingkungan yang terjadi di Kecamatan Metro Utara adalah banyaknya masalah limbah kotoran ayam yang menyebabkan pencemaran lingkungan sekitar rumah penduduk. LKS yang ada saat ini belum sepenuhnya melatih keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa dan keterampilan tersebut termasuk dalam kategori rendah. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa e-worksheet berbasis proyek pengolahan limbah kotoran ayam diperlukan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa

    Scaffolding with Peer Tutoring in the Teacher's Perspective: Could Its Implementation in Learning Programs Improve Scientific Communication Skills and HOTS

    This essay's purpose is to provide a summary the perceptions of science teachers towards scaffolding learning programs with peer tutoring in improving scientific communication skills and HOTS. This research was conducted in the province of Lampung, Indonesia, involving 74 middle school science teacher respondents. A mixed method with a sequential explanatory design was used for the study. Data were collected through interviews and surveys, and descriptive analysis was used to analyse the results. The survey findings indicate that science instructors have a favourable opinion of using scaffolding in conjunction with peer tutoring. The analysis's findings indicate that most instructors have not used peer tutoring and scaffolding in the classroom to help students advance from their current competencies to potential competencies.     THE EFFECTIVENESS OF CREATIVE PROBLEM SOLVING ON LOGICAL THINKING ABILITY AND MASTERY OF CONCEPTS

    This research aims to determine the effect of Creative Problem Solving (CPS) on logical thinking ability and concept achievement. The design was a nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. The samples were 60 students of X MIA 1 and X MIA 3 selected through cluster random sampling technique. Data on logical thinking ability obtained using the Test of Logical Thinking (TOLT and data on concept achievement (cognitive aspects) gathered using pretest and posttest. Both data were analyzed by Independent Sample t-Test at a 5% confidence level. The results showed that CPS give effect significantly the experimental class logical thinking ability (0.41± 0.13) was higher than the control class (0.21 ± 0.07). The mastery of concepts on the experiment class (0.61 ± 0.20) higher than the control class (0.41 ± 0.20). It means that CPS influences students’ logical thinking ability and mastery of concepts
